November 23rd:
Happy Thanksgiving!
It is easy to give thanks during the good times, but God has commanded us to give thanks in all circumstances, including the bad times. The Samaritan leper thanked Jesus when he was healed, and the Apostle Paul rejoiced in his hardships. Knowing and trusting in God and his promises can help us be grateful at all times.
Memory Verse:
1 Thessalonians 5:18 - Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of
God in Christ Jesus for you.

Luke 17:15–17; 1 Corinthians 15:57

Angelic Announcements - God delivers the message of the coming Messiah through his angel Gabriel.
God sent the angel Gabriel to deliver the message to Zechariah that he and his wife, Elizabeth, would have a son named John who would prepare the hearts of the people for the promised Messiah. Then God sent Gabriel to tell Mary that she would miraculously conceive a son who would be called Jesus. Jesus was the Messiah for whom John would be preparing the people.
Memory Verse:
John 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
