Pre-K (Sunshine Factory)

Engaging each child with Biblical stories, activities and games that help them grow in their faith

From the moment your preschooler arrives in the Sunshine Factory, he or she will be engaged in the "work" of our factory: building with blocks, setting up a dollhouse, creating crafts, putting puzzles together, or playing catch! Our teaching style will put your child at ease and keep him or her actively engaged through large group story time and small group learning centers, designed especially with preschoolers in mind!

What Has My Child Learned?

April 20th

Bible Verse: "Jesus died and was raised to life again" (1 Thessalonians 4:14a).

Lesson Summary: Today your child learned that Jesus died for us and then came back to life. Children heard how angels announced that Jesus had risen. They sang songs to celebrate Jesus being alive.

Questions to Ask Your Child: How did Jesus' friends find out that he was alive? Who can you tell that Jesus is alive? What can our family do to celebrate Jesus' being alive?

April 27th

Bible Verse: "Believe in Jesus Christ, and love one another." (1 John 3:23b).

Lesson Summary: Today your child learned that Jesus wants us to believe in him. Children heard how Thomas doubted that Jesus was really alive. They discovered that we can believe in Jesus, even though we can't see him.

Questions to Ask Your Child: Why didn't Thomas believe that Jesus had really risen? When is it hard for you to believe in Jesus? How can our family help others believe in Jesus?

May 4th

Bible Verse: "Believe in Jesus Christ, and love one another." (1 John 3:23b).

Lesson Summary: Today your child learned that Jesus wants us to believe in him. Children heard how Jesus asked his followers to tell others about him. They visited another class and sang a song about believing in Jesus.

Questions to Ask Your Child: What special job did Jesus ask his friends to do? How can you do that special job for Jesus, too? Who can our family tell about Jesus?

May 11th

Bible Verse: "Believe in Jesus Christ, and love one another." (1 John 3:23b).

Lesson Summary: Today your child learned that Jesus wants us to believe in him. Children discovered that people heard about Jesus in their own languages. They learned to say "I believe" in other languages.

Questions to Ask Your Child: Who helped Jesus' friends speak in different languages? What happened when the Holy Spirit came? How can our family help people in other countries learn about Jesus?

May 18th

Bible Verse: "The believers met together...and shared everything they had" (Acts 2:44).

Lesson Summary: Today your child learned that we are the church, and we share with each other. Children heard how people in the early church shared with one another. They made treats to share with another class.

Questions to Ask Your Child: What are some things the people of the early church did together? How do you feel when friends share things with you? How can our family share like the early church did?
